Opening Assembly 2022
It was a glorious sunny morning filled with songs and cheers as Burke’s officially welcomed the community back to campus.
The entire community gathered last week for the annual Opening Assembly. Our Lower and Upper School students sang "Sansa Kroma" to the new kindergarteners; a beloved song in our community that tells the story of a baby eagle being welcomed into a village. Our oldest eighth-grader and youngest first-grader rang in the new year for the community and Upper School Music Teacher Ms. Allen led students in a rousing rendition of “This Joy” by the Resistance Revival Chorus.
The assembly concluded with the Class of 2023 walking through a symbolic tunnel of “Wisdom Keepers” created by members of our faculty and staff.
