BLEND Dinner

Over three hundred community members gathered for a “Taste of Burke’s.”
Burke’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Office, in tandem with the Parents’ Association’s Inclusivity and Community Building Committee (ICBC) created an unforgettable BLEND event.

Burke’s families, faculty, and staff gathered in the Campus Center to enjoy food and desserts from a variety of traditions. Students had a passport to track connections with different community members as they learned about the desserts. Their “sweet” travels took them to China, Japan, and the Philippines, then off to Turkey, Ukraine, Germany, and Ireland, and onwards to Colombia, El Salvador and many more countries!  One student got 25 different members of the Burke's community to sign her passport!

BLEND is a beloved community tradition and a wonderful way to start the year. As a community, Burke’s seeks to celebrate each person’s similarities and differences with the ongoing intent of strengthening our connection with each other.
