Come see Burke’s in action! Our Campus Tours, offered September through January, are a wonderful opportunity to explore our campus, visit classrooms, and experience the joyful, engaging learning that takes place each day.
 
You’ll also hear from members of the Burke’s community and learn more about our program and approach to educating girls. Campus Tour dates are listed below. Please create an account in Ravenna to register for tours and other admissions events

Application Deadlines

We are accepting applications for the 2027-28 academic year. Here is an outline of important application steps:

September-January: Tour our campus. We highly recommend attending a tour (various dates) and our Curriculum Preview (November 14).

January 11 - Application Deadline 
Kindergarten and transfer student applications are due on this date. Application fees are non-refundable. If our application fee is a financial burden for your family, please contact us at admissions@burkes.org to request a fee waiver.

January 31 - Collaborative Tuition Application Deadline

March 11 - Admissions Decisions Posted Electronically in Ravenna at 12 p.m. Parents and guardians will have one week to contemplate their decision and share it with the school.

  • Curriculum Preview

    Saturday, November 14
    10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

    Take a closer look at Burke's curriculum and connect with faculty from every grade level. You'll also have the opportunity to meet current students and members of our administrative team. Explore sessions such as Kindergarten 101, Lower and Upper School Science and Math, The Makery Mindset, Creating a Sense of Belonging, Social-Emotional Learning, Burke's Library, and much more!

  • Collaborative Tuition Workshop

    Thursday, December 3
    5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

    At Burke’s, we’re deeply committed to socioeconomic diversity and understand that tuition and fees represent a significant investment for families.
     
    Join us for an online workshop hosted by Burke’s Admissions and Business offices, where we’ll guide you through the Collaborative Tuition application process and answer any questions you may have.
     
    Collaborative Tuition applications open in early November 2026 through Clarity. Please visit the Clarity website to apply online.

  • Mosaic

    Wednesday, December 2
    5:30 - 7 p.m.
     
    MOSAIC is an admissions event designed for families of color, LGBTQ+ families, and adoptive families to connect with current Burke’s families who share similar identities and experiences.

  • Kindergarten Readiness Visits

    January

    The Kindergarten Readiness Visit is a fun and engaging way for us to get to know your daughter and gain a sense of her development in preparation for kindergarten.
     
    She will participate in group social activities with other children and Burke’s teachers, and also complete an individual academic assessment that highlights her skills and the unique qualities she brings to the classroom.
     
    Appointment registration and more details will be available starting in December.

  • Lower School Shadow Days

    January-February

    Applicants to grades 3-4 are invited to campus to spend a day in a classroom and take part in a typical school day. During the visit, your daughter will also complete a brief academic assessment.
     
    Applicants to grades 1-2 are not required to participate in a Shadow Day, but will be invited to campus in January or February for an academic assessment only.

  • Upper School Shadow Days

    January-February

    Upper School Shadow Days are held in late January and early February. Students applying to grades 5-7 are invited to campus to experience a regular school day and take part in all its activities. During the visit, your daughter will also complete a brief academic assessment.

  • Lower School Academic Assessments (For Applicants to 1st and 2nd Grade)

    February

    Applicants to 1st and 2nd Grade do not participate in a Shadow Day visit, but will schedule a one-on-one assessment at Burke’s. Registration opens in January.
