Who We Are
Campus
The Katherine Delmar Burke School campus is a unique 3.5-acre space in the Sea Cliff neighborhood of San Francisco. With 65% open space, our expansive outdoor campus is unsurpassed in the city with a large grass athletic field, a sports court, and two multipurpose courtyards with play structures. Our facilities are state-of-the-art and include a 5,500-square-foot library, two technology labs, three science labs, five art, music and drama studios, a gymnasium/auditorium, and large light-filled classrooms.
However, it is not simply our acreage or outstanding facilities that distinguish Burke's; it is what our campus enables our students and teachers to do. Our accomplished faculty members take full advantage of our outdoor setting and wide-open spaces to foster the learning, well-being, and social development of our girls. Step onto the Burke's campus, and you will see active and healthy girls fully engaged in their education.

On clear days, the Golden Gate Bridge is visible from many parts of campus. -
This sign greets students and parents as they enter the Burke's campus from California Street. -
The Grace Magill Arts and Science Building abuts Lands End and offers a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. -
The Upper School science lab is one of three dedicated labs on campus. -
The library and technology resource center houses a 43,000-volume collection. -
The Lower School library features a reading nook. -
As of the 2018-19 school year, all Lower School classrooms are outfitted with flexible furniture, high-tech windows, updated utilities, and everything teachers and students need for project-based learning. -
Two Makeries on campus give students the chance to learn by doing through imaginative projects. -
Sixty-five percent of campus is open space, including this field on the California Street side. -
The Gymnasium hosts many performing arts events and athletic games throughout the year, as well as Commencement in June. -
Both Upper and Lower School students can take advantage of recreational time out on the playgrounds.
