We look forward to seeing you this year!

As grandparents, you are a vital part of the Burke’s community.

The Burke’s Grandparents’ Council was formed in 2015 to provide a vehicle for grandparents to become more involved with their granddaughters’ school, and support Burke’s mission through active engagement and participation in the school community.

The Council consists of an inclusive group that welcomes any interested grandparent or special friend. It offers members the opportunity to meet a couple of times each year with the Head of School and learn firsthand about the experiences of your grandchildren as part of the Burke’s family. One of the founding objectives of the council is to promote all the wonderful ways grandparents can be involved in life at Burke’s.

List of 3 items.

  • Grandparent Newsletter

Burke's sends out a Grandparent Newsletter twice a year. If you have a grandchild at Burke's and would like to be added to the distribution list, please email Mikaela Martinez, Family Relations and Event Manager.
  • Guest Speaker Volunteers

Do you have a unique background that might lend itself to a particular area of study? Do you have a contact that could be a potential speaker at the school? We frequently host guest speakers at assemblies and in classrooms, and most of these speakers come through a connection from one of the members of our Burke’s community.
  • Library and Lunchroom Volunteers

There are daily opportunities to volunteer on campus in the library and lunchroom!  To learn more, or to become a member of the Grandparents' Council, please reach out to Yukiko Meadows, Director of Advancement.

Burke's mission is to educate, encourage and empower girls. Our school combines academic excellence with an appreciation for childhood so that students thrive as learners, develop a strong sense of self, contribute to community, and fulfill their potential, now and throughout life.
Burke's admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
