Join us at this year's Benefit on Saturday, April 2 at August Hall from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

We are thrilled to officially invite all of you to the 2022 Burke’s Benefit – "Dancing through the Decades – the Remix!" on Saturday, April 2 at the iconic August Hall. After a two-year in-person hiatus, we invite every adult in our community to join us for a night of reunion and epic celebration. And more importantly, we are making lots of changes that we hope will feel special and inviting to all of us.

Step back in time at the speakeasy bar, hit the dance floor in parachute pants, or just show up for great food, friends, and fun in your 2020s threads!

Questions? Contact our Benefit Co-Chairs Brian Davis, Margaret Corley Desaunier, and Shalini Harkness.

  • Tickets are available on a sliding scale starting at $25. Pay what is comfortable for you! We want everyone to be able to join the party. Click here to purchase your tickets today!

  • No live auction! Instead, to raise the critical dollars needed we will focus on increasing event sponsorships prior to the event and Raise the Paddle at the event.

  • Fun activities and no more assigned tables! We want everyone to move around and participate in exciting activities such as a photo booth, graffiti wall, and karaoke, not to mention dancing to the fun beats of a live band, Notorious!

  • Count-Me-Ins: Sales for these popular activities will debut onsite at the Benefit on April 2, followed by online sign-ups on April 5 for those items that still have availability.

  • Costumes are optional but you can dress to impress from any decade you feel drawn to, even if it’s the 2020s.

Underwriting

Without a live auction, Burke’s will rely on sponsorship donations to meet its Benefit goal in support of financial assistance and professional development for our faculty. Please contact any of the event chairs or Yukiko Meadows if you haven't received an underwriting form. You also may give online at burkes.org/give

Count-Me-Ins!

We all love these experiences and are always looking for hosts to help build community while having a great time! If you would like to host, please contact either Abiah Karthauser '90 or Sophie Hayward '90 for more details.

To “Costume” or Not?
