A Joyful Opening Assembly!

A special morning on the Front Field.

Burke’s officially welcomed the community back to campus on the Front Field with our annual Opening Assembly. It was a cool and foggy morning filled with songs and cheers.  Our Lower and Upper School students sang "Sansa Kroma" to the new kindergarteners; a beloved song in our community that tells the story of a baby eagle being welcomed into a village. Our oldest eighth-grader and youngest first-grader rang in the new year for the community and new Upper School Music Teacher Ms. Allen introduced students to “This Joy” by the Resistance Revival Chorus.

The assembly concluded with the Class of 2022 walking through a symbolic tunnel of “Wisdom Keepers” created by members of our faculty and staff. Welcome to the Class of 2030 and all of our new students and a special cheer for our wonderful Class of 2022! Click here for photos of this special morning.
