Melissa Ma


At Burke's, Melissa serves on the Finance and Investment Committees.

Melissa J. Ma is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Asia Alternatives, the largest Asia-dedicated private equity fund-of- funds. Prior to launching Asia Alternatives, Ms. Ma was a Director at Hellman & Friedman, Associate Principal at McKinsey & Co and Financial Analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co. In addition, she serves on the Boards of the CAIA Association, Marin Country Day School, One Sky (formerly Half the Sky) and the San Francisco Zoo. She serves as the Chair of the Investment Committee for Marin Country Day School and a Vice Chair for the Harvard College Fund Executive Committee. She is also on the Advisory Board for the Asia Society (Northern California) and is the member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Gold and Council on Foreign Relations.
 
Ms. Ma received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and holds an A.B. in Economics and East Asian Studies, magna cum laude, from Harvard College.
