Coding Camp

Basic Information

CodeFu: Journey Camp ONLINE!

Date: August 10-14, 2020
Time: 3-4:00 p.m. 
Cost: $175/week
Grade Level: Rising 3rd-5th Grade

Requirement: Computer with strong internet connection. Many students have found it helpful to code on a separate device while attending the Zoom session. 
Students will create the "Hello World" program. Students will learn how to declare variables of different data types and print them in the terminal window.
Students will create a simple calculator which can  add or subtract two values then print the outcome to the terminal!  Students will be introduced to  math operations, the output function and if statements
Students will create a random fortune teller app generator! This application will ask the user to input their name, then print  random string of text using the users name. Students will learn how to build lists, make random choices  and concatenate strings with variables.
Thursday - Friday 
Students will create the game "Rock Paper Scissors" This project will reinforce the past lessons, as students will need to create variables, use output and print functions, define conditions and make random choices.
In order to receive a full refund on any summer class or camp, cancellations must be received no later than seven days before the class or camp starts.
